It's a brand new year but holiday is going to end this week.. boo~

I took several days to fully recover from my Hong Kong trip. After which is gathering, gathering and more gathering! Mainly is to celebrate the festive seasons like Christmas and New year as well as to pass the gifts & goodies to frenz.

As for this week, I'm staying home all day (except for tuition lessons) to rush out my dissertation which shall be due in early March. I aimed to finish the Methodology writeup and generate the survey data. Jia you! =)

I have just ended my 8days 7nights Hong Kong cum Macau Trip. The trip was fun though the expenses are as expensive as that of Singapore and the quality of their service aren't good. Still think Taiwan and Korea is nicer, maybe it's becoz their people are more friendly. But this time, I'm pleased with my travel buddies =)

We went to the Women's Market on our first night. The street is very similar to our Singapore's pasar malam but the street is a freaking long one. We have gained good bargaining skills from there.. wahaha.

Our second and third day was occupied by the theme parks Disneyland and Ocean Park respectively. Overall, I feel that Disneyland is more fun than Ocean Park. Perhaps it's because the environment provides more romance and fantasy... with all the characters I'm familiar since young, the beautiful decorations, the fake snow and impressive firework finale~ Embarass to say, I can't help but cried during the Disneyland parade! Coz it's like a childhood dream come true to me! =P Ocean Park wise, I like the long cable car ride and the thrilling rides (360 degree... but no kick to me though! =P).

For the third day, we went to the Lantau Island for the Ngong Ping 360 cable car, the Ngong Ping village and the Po Lin Monastery Giant Buddha. Upon looking outside on the cable car, the scenery is awesome! That night, we went to the Temple Street. It's like another pasar malam but the street is much shorter and their stuff are more of painitings and artcrafts. We went to the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum on Fourth day. The best part is to be so close and personal with my lao gong Louis Koo! =) That night, we went to the Victoria Harbour to watch the night scenery and its laser show. I had a nice time walking in that cold Star Path with yu wei! =)

After which we took ferry to Macau for 2days 1night. All of us really think that we enjoyed being in Macau than in Hong Kong. There more specialty food there, the people there are nicer, the buildings are way more unique (with rich portungese style), etc. We were like having a food excursion there; we follow the book to search for all the famous specialty food and tried them all! Yum Yum! =P We went to the casinos at Galaxy Hotel and Macau Venetian Hotel, both looked really grand! Haha, luckily I received good results on that day.. or esle I would spent on my money on the gamble table! =P Last day, we went to the famous Huang Da Xian temple to pray and then went back to Women Street for last minute shopping. =) Really enjoyed myself, thank you gals! =)

It's Holiday! =)

I did a small prank on fb last wk. Many of friends thought I really went for the Standard Chartered Marathon 2011.. haha.. Sorry to disappoint. =P

I felt so ashamed of myself. It's been 3 weeks since my holiday starts and what I did is shopping and rotting at home watching dramas. Umm, what exactly have I done? During the 1st week, most of my friends are still having their exams. I accompany my mum for shopping as she had her annual pay-leave. 2nd week, TR3002 outing to sing K, movie with jia tian, and outing with yu wei, si jie & boon siew. 3rd week, final round of planning for my hk trip.

I know I should start working on my dissertation already, but I just don't have the mood to get it started. Haha, I'm so looking forward to my hk trip already... can't wait to be there!

The real celebration has yet to come!

This TR3002 module has finally ended. It's the 1st and probably the last project I've spent so much time and effort on. If I were to choose the most memorable project I have had in this 4 years of my Uni life, this should be the one. Though there were hardships, I really enjoyed the whole process. I have earned precious friendship. Jaslin, Allan, De Zhang, Jing Guang, Alex, thank you all! Looking forward to the jb trip! =)

Finally, I have tried the curry rice @ 313 Somerset Coco Ichibanya... thanks to joce and ai ting. =) Too bad I chose the omelette curry rice set, I was not allowed to choose the level spiciness I wanted. I will try level 2 if I am there again.

I ended my meeting early in school that day.. so I went for shopping before meeting the gals. That was really a wrong decision to make, haha. Hundred plus dollars were spent on 3 clothes at Forever21. And my favourite? The Pooh sweater! =)

Went Pasir Ris park with the gals yesterday. It is only then I felt that I have finally get to enjoy my holiday. Despite the rain and kite-flying failure, I still enjoyed myself very much, especially with the gals' chitchatting and cycling. I stayed up till 2am the previous day to bake cookies and woke up at 7am in that morning to prepare bentos for the gals. I'm glad the bentos do look like one.. =) Had dinner at Boon Siew's place at night and we watched an indian comedy movie "3 Idiots" which was so so funny! I seriously recommend it! =)

Samsung ST600 Dual LCD

Though I'm satisfied by my phone's 5MP camera, I have always wanted to buy a digital camera of my own... so I've been waiting for a right model at a right price.

And this camera is just what I needed. It has the fundamental - 14.2MP and 5X zoom. The dual LCD screen (3.5 & 1.8 inch LCD screen) is perfect for a self-portrait lover like me. And the smile detection and couple detection mode enables me to take photos by smiling to the camera without pressing the shutter button. Its lens also includes optical image stabilization, which should help reduce the likelihood of blur caused by camera shake. I chose the purple one over the pink as I found the pink one too glossy. Given that it's not a new model, I found S$214 with free 4GB Memory card, 1-yr warranty and free delivery reasonable.

Ring Ring Ring~ It's the RUNNING MAN!

Right after I ended my internship with CDL last Friday and rested during the weekends, I participated in the RUNNING MAN CAMP organized by NUS Student Union. When I first reached the meeting point, YIH Amphitheatre, I saw a person that I have been trying to avoid for the whole of last 1 year! Almost wanted to quit the camp right away and head straight home. But fortunately, we are of a different OG.

All members were given a mission to hide their true identity (year & course) because they were spy among us who would identify us at the end of the day. Those who were identified correctly were to receive a 'prisoner ball'. And I can say, it's the most fun part throughout the camp. I gave up my heels that I've been constantly wearing for 3 years, and tied back my two cute ponytails. Rox wore her JC clothes and Jim pretended he's a Taiwanese law student who came to Singapore for exchange. So we together with Ming Ming, have to speak to one another like we knew each other for the first time.. Haha, it's so satisfying when we finally revealed our identity and they were all so shocked that we were year 4 students... Some even thought Jim and I are a couple! But the truth is : We knew one another since yr 1 but have not been in touch for 3 years until this camp.

Umm, game wise is still okay. Played a few of the sub-RUNNING MAN games: the guess word on pingpong ball game, pouring water on head game, write and sing french song "shangri la", the drawing marathon guessing game, the museum drawing game, etc. The real chase only begins in the late afternoon. 1st day was in the campus, it's exciting trying to find the clues.. too bad I got caught early without having found a single clue. The opponent boys are just too violent! I dashed into the female toilet's cubicle but they just followed! That guy even shouted " I dun care if you are a girl" ..After several seconds of struggle, my tag behind my shirt was tore off. I lost! Went back to the prison with one of my team mates who got caught earlier than me.

The 2nd day was disappointing. There's no programme for us until 12pm so we played our own games: Polar bear game and Daidi card game. The second chase venue is at Orchard Central. I already got a shock when I heard the venue in the 1st day. The committee did not even asked for permission from the OC mgt. I knew this was a terribly wrong idea coz I had been working in a shopping mgt office during my internship period. Even if mediacorp wants to shoot a scene in a shooping mall, they have to seek permission. So the game actually lasted for 1 hour before all running men were "caught" by the security guards and mgt officers. After which, dinner together, got back to school for belongings, went back home.

I'm very disappointed with the organizing committee. They did not seem to plan the camp well and did not have good coordination. But well, it's still a good experience for me; I reunited with old friends, I met new friends, I felt "young" again! Haha.. and that's my last camp in my uni life =)

Yummy Weekend Afternoon

Tried changing my fav choco muffins recipe into banana muffins... umm, taste and smell is quite nice but the appearance don't look that tempting. So I shall say it's neither a failure nor a success. I added some strawberry jam on top of the muffin dough before baking, turns out a bit more tempting... haha, looks somewhat like the Portuguese Eggtart.

I have been stationed at Orchard Road for 2 weeks plus... Spent $150 so far... gosh... working at Orchard Road isn't a good idea afterall. But I love the work environment here, at least I can do whatever I want in the office =)

Itinerary Ready!

I have decided to go Hong Kong with my 4 friends. The trip is scheduled to be from 14th - 21st Dec this year but I have already planned the Itinerary! I know I'm a bit kiasu this time, coz I knew I wont have time to plan for it when the semester starts. Most importantly, december is one of the most popular months where many travels oversea. So ticket and accomodation wise must be settled fast, and before we can decide on the accomo, itinerary must be planned first.

I have officially been stationed at Tanglin Shopping Centre this wednesday. The mgt team also manages Palais Renaissance, Delfi Orchard and St Regis. I'm glad that I don't have to travel that far as compared to other condo sites I've been stationed previously and I get to shop in Orchard Road during my lunch break! =)

Tmr will be a long day for me. Tuition in the morning, B'dae lunch & movie with my bro, B'dae Dinner with Beatrice and frenz. =)

The Jealous Husband~

When I reached my office on tuesday morning, saw this pile of magazines lying on my table. I was super amazed by them, coz all of them are about ROBERT PATTINSON!!! It was then my collegue told me they are from the new resident who have just moved in. That resident is in his 20's and is married. So we concluded that 1) He's not a gay 2) His wife is a Robert Pattinson fan 3) The husband got jealous of Robert Pattinson and so he discarded them to the office. So yeah, I was literally "entertained" by the magazines throughout my day. At the end of the day, I knew everything abt him: his elementry school, his school grades, his views on co-stars.. blah blah blah.. LOL

I listened to Radio 100.3 fm everyday while working in the office. Then on wednesday morning, it happens that the Djs had an outdoor live radio telecast near my workplace, Adam Food Centre. Wanting to get myself movie tix, I got out of my office to "buy coffee" for my collegue. I was signalled to sit beside the Djs while they are still speaking to the mic. Then I was being interviewed and asked questions like "How come you happen to be near the food centre?", "Which school and course?"... when they heard that I was a RE student, they asked my opinion about the recent annoucement on HDB policies. And when it comes to "Who's your fav DJ?", I looked at Wen Hong and said his name! haha.. After the interview, I went on to buy coffee and Wen Hong walked over and thanked me for coming down. =)

And juz yesterday, I won myself another pair of movie tix! haha.. all thanks to 100.3fm! =)

It's almost a week since I started working as an intern at CDL. I feel really dissapointed about the internship on the first day. It was on that day I was told that I belong to the project & facility department. I'm a REAL ESTATE student, always thought they would give me more prestigious job such as project development or marketing department. Yet they gave them to the SMU BIZ INTERNS!!! Why must I work on an internship that is suppose to belong to a PFM student and the biz students got all my dream jobs???? And worse, I was told to wait for my supervisor alone in a meeting room for the whole day (yes, the whole day) and had nothing to do.

The 1st half of second day was the SAME! Sitting alone in meeting room doing nothing again!!! And worse, I went away a short while to the toilet and came back only to find that all the chairs in the meeting room are gone!!! They have shifted them to another conference room. I have to stand there like an idiot until someone pulled a chair over to me. Really feel like crying that time. Hello??? I'm suppose to do something for my internship!!! The 2nd half of the day is better, my supervisor finally freed up himself to drive me to condo sites & showrooms and get to meet ppl. At least there's someone talking to me finally, or esle I really thought I'm an invisible person! Going to different places is somehow exciting as I get to see new stuff and get to interact with my supervisor.

Today is the 3rd day, supervisor leave me at a new condo site for the whole day. I'm glad that the mangement office personnels are really nice ppl. Also quite suprised to see my uni school mate, Ben, who is working part-time for the MA company. Hope my days will get better as it goes on...

Thanks yu wei for the encouragement she has given to me when I'm down these few days. Also thanks to jia tian and ya jie who kills my boredom by smsing me during these days. Appreciated =)

I think my face is kinna multi-national. My chinese pronounciation often makes people think that I'm a PRC or Malaysian (??). In Korea, salegirl talked japanese to me and taxidriver thought I was a korean. In taiwan, guesthouse host said that I'm a taiwanese. During Uni orientation camp, my fren though that I was from Taiwan... During one of my florist job, supervisor asked if I know how to speak chinese. lol, does that mean I dun have the 'typical' Singaporean look?

Got the TaoBao stuff that I bought from boon siew (finally after 3 months!!!) on sunday. It's been so long till I forgot what I've ordered.. haha... and that's how I got this 'typical' korean look. I bet no one suspect that I'm not a local if I walk down the streets in seoul. =P

It's the RUNNING MAN camp!!!

Now my coming summer vacation is fully packed! A job internship with CDL until 15th July, followed by this camp from 18th to 20th July. Just saw it this afternoon at the IVLE bulletin board and signed up immediately. Announced it at fb and within seconds my friend, Jimmy, said he has signed up too! .. So excited abt the camp! =) I've always wanted to try playing the games when I was watching these korean varieties, never imagined that I actually get to play them! =)

Sorry for being "Cocky"

My recent fb status "SPH finance internship interview on tuesday" & "Internship at CDL confirmed" sounds a bit cocky. U may think "Yeah, right. It's not a big deal to brag abt..."Actually, my only purpose is to show "someone" that without his help, I'm also capable of finding myself an internship position. I kinda had low self-esteem recently so I need something to wake myself up.

Some sacrifices come with the internship opportunity attained: the Bangkok trip airtix that costs a hundred plus and my 5 tuition assignments that earns me $1000+ monthly. It's a pity to give them up but I know I have to look at the long-term benefits. I'm currently still in the dilemma of whether to stop the tuitions now, coz I need time to focus on my studies and heavy project work stuffs too... Umm..

Saturday is the day, the day I finally took off the braces which I have wore for 1.5 yrs! Didn't really feel excited that day coz I was in midst of recovering from the friday supper (came back home at 4plus am.. my god!!!) and the dental appointment was at 9 in the morning. Talking abt the supper, I discovered a big secret that night.. wahaha! Waiting for some confession frm someone! =P

I'm really sick of restricting my smiles during phototaking, most of the times it appears that I'm unhappy or smt. After my bath juz now, I went to take off my contact lenses and that's when I looked into the mirror and observed my smile for the 1st time. I'm so glad to get back my confident smile! =) =) All the pain and money are worth it =)

Didn't blog for quite sometime, kindda got busy with CNY, my dissertation proposal, projs and other tuition works. It's recess week, and I dun feel like it's a recess for me at all.. But well, better than nth.. lol.

I spent the last week of my holiday with friends: Dinner @Ichiban Sushi & Ice-cream Dessert @Udders wif joce, yu wei, jaz, wei chong & jer to celebrate weichong's b'dae last thursday + Dinner @XinChaChanTing wif yu wei, si jie, ai ting & boon siew & Beatrice last sunday.

This week is really tough, especially the part where I have to switch back to my old body clock and to wake up early for lectures. And the fact that I'm overloading 1 more module this semester, it's now more challenging to juggle between my schoolwork & 9 tuition classes every week.

I've been sending letters and emails to corporations for internship opportunities. Hopefully, one of them would consider me and have me to work with them. Wish me luck! =)

It's Christmas! Ho Ho Ho!

I had a few gathering during the past few days. BBQ gathering last friday with joce, jaz, wei chong and jermaine, watched Tron movie after that. Tai Tai meeting with joce & ai ting on wed, went for lunch+high tea+dinner, watched Hello Stranger movie. Auntie gathering with yu wei, ai ting, si jie & boon siew yesterday, had lunch in my fav Kim Gary's, watched Rapunzel. Among the movies I've watched recently, Hello Stranger is the best. Start to like thai romance comedy! =)

Rui Rui's 21st party @ Hort Park

Went to Rui rui's 21st birthday party at Hort Park last sunday. I took Mrt to Queenstown and took a taxi from there. And while I was standing on the Mrt, a lunatic kept poking his face near mine and asked "what is this?" in chinese and gave me a creepy smile. I got freaked out and tried to ignored him until the the train reached a station and fled. He even said bye bye to me..Arghh!!! Why are there so many lunatics nowsadays? Singaporeans getting too stressed out?

Back to the party, I had to restrain myself from the food as my teeth were swollen (again! due to tightening of braces). So I only got myself a few drinks and pathetic scoop of the ice-cream cake. Haha.. But I did enjoyed myself, strolling the park with peiyi and her friends and listening to the humorous conversation of rui's dad. Yeah, he's a really funny guy. =)

I got my result this morning. Overall I'm pleased with what I got, coz I've improved. But something bothers me; I scored my worst grade (for this sem) for my most-confident module and vice-versa. Should be the paper was too easy such that everyone else scores well. Haix, so much for my days of hard-work & preparation for it. Lol, but still, the result is a good news to me: I get to do the thesis paper!!! (at least for now..) =)

At the National Palace Museum

Hey everyone, I'm back!!! The past one week was a fun and fulfiling one. It was a much pleasent trip as compared to the Korea trip; instead of juz a city tour, I experienced being at the mountains, lake, beach, village, old street, etc. The scenary there was so beautiful that I can't possibly descibe them in words, so do see them yourself when I upload the pictures later. Oh, and my 3 partners are also very caring and nice. I'm glad they are with me. =)

Why superstitious taiwan? Coz I sorta felt that I'm cursed to stay in taiwan; especially in the Taichung(Central) area. First, our host at the MoonLake River guesthouse wanted to introduce me to his doctorate(PHD student) nephew. Second, our taxi-driver who drove us to Taroko kept insisting me to go back Taichung with him alone. Third, when we were cycling at the village, we started to get lost after passing a cemetery. Fourth, when we were about to leave for Taipei (North), I suddenly lost my train ticket. I had no choice but to ask my friend Wang Xiao to help me buy another ticket, and we nearly miss our train. What's worse is that I found that missing ticket soon I boarded the train... Argghhh! So...I'm destined to stay in Taiwan! hahaha!!

Also, 4 of us were really fascinated and entertained by the host at the MoonLake River guesthouse that I've mentioned earlier. The old man, Mr Yang, took courses on Palmistry and Face reading before. Thus, we gals love to surround him and ask him for some readings. Haha, personally I felt that some of which he said are quite accurate. =)

Shopping Trip at Vivo

Went shopping with Jia tian yesterday afternoon at Vivo. Haha,only bought a pair of boots after 5 hours of shopping. I did tried a few nice clothes, but they are juz too expensive to consider buying.

At night, I went to Rui rui's dance performance at RP with pei yi and xx. It was really a nice show, especially the first scene on goodness and the 2nd half of the programme on White Snake Legend =)

When the Nightmare is Finally Over...

Just sat for my last paper today. For the past few days, I really had no motivation to study for this module. It's the last paper, it can be S/U (grade not countable), it's open book, plus I dunno what the heck this module is about! Thank god everything is over, to think that I've survived through the previous endless projects and stuff... haha..

I didn't really get to celebrate my day coz all other friends are still having exams... NUS, NTU, SIM... boo... And I've scheduled 2 tuitions right after the last paper. Blood pressure starts to build up again especially when teaching my pri4 kid... =X

PSLE results are out! Glad that both my p6 students did well. Another P4 student top his class for mathematics... Well, at least all the efforts are worthing making =)

Tmr I shall start preparing for my taiwan trip =) & I'm really looking forward to it! =) =)

Eraser: For what? You didn't do anything wrong.
Pencil: I'm sorry cos you get hurt bcos of me. Whenever I made a mistake, you're always there to erase it. But as you make my mistakes vanish, you lose a part of yourself. You get smaller and smaller each time.
Eraser: That's true. But I don't really mind. You see, I was made to do this. I was made to help you whenever you do something wrong. Even though one day, I know I'll be gone and you'll replace me with a new one, I'm actually happy with my job. So please, stop worrying. I hate seeing you sad. :)

I found this conversation between the pencil and the eraser very inspirational. Parents are like the eraser whereas their children are the pencil. They're always there for their children, cleaning up their mistakes. Sometimes along the way... they get hurt, and become smaller (older, and eventually pass on). Though their children will eventually find someone new (spouse), but parents are still happy with what they do for their children, and will always hate seeing their precious ones worrying, or sad.

"All my life, I've been the pencil.. And it pains me to see the eraser that is my parents getting smaller and smaller each day. For I know that one day, all that I'm left with would be eraser shavings and memories of what I used to have..."

Juz yesterday, I kind of wonder that nothing is impossible in University life. You can randomly walk down a corridor and a MP(my prof) said hi to u. You can sit in a lecture with an actress sitting in front of you. You can walk in the toilet cubicle right after that very actress walked out of it. Wahaha... not mentioning that ur prof is a ex-GM of a huge listed company in S'pore. Too bad, my seung gi is not in the same uni as me, or esle I'll be stalking him 24hrs per day, 7 days a week! =P

Stepping into adulthood - I'm finally 21!

Even though today is my official 21st birthday, I did not had anything special on-going. My day was packed with school and 2 tuitions which lined up all the way till 9 plus in the night. The birthday cake my mum bought was still in the fridge, left untouched. My parents aren't home yet, my brother went Australia for NS in the evening, another brother busy studying for his SS exam the next day. And I can't really eat any solid food recently due to some movements of my teeth, had been eating sponge cakes for breakfast, lunch & dinner recently...Wat a day!

But, I've enjoyed my b'dae party at Top1 KTV Bugis & received lots of gifts last sat; I received tons of b'dae wishes today; my bro went all the trouble to get me bubble tea today; my mum gave me a pair of diamond earrings! And, it's so nice to hear from my dear Chen! =)

Should all Managers wear Prada?

This question is actually posted by my MNO prof as this week's tut assignment. We are required to take a stand on either "YES" or "NO" and argue our points in 300 words. I find this question rather interesting, so I thought of sharing it with u guys. =)

No, not all managers should wear Prada. The "wear Prada" style of management refers to the dictatorial, driven and dismissive attitude practiced by Anna Wintour, the chief editor of fashion magazine Vogue.

Firstly, the success of Anna Wintour with her "wear Prada" style of management may be due to the fact that fashion magazine is a woman-dominated industry, and that women are more accepting of a dismissive female boss. Also, the "wear Prada" style can be considered reasonable given the tight dateline of fashion magazine. As the manager, she therefore has to be demanding and critical so that the magazine can be published on time. However, this style of management may not be applicable to other industries (eg: Chemical industries, Medical industries) which requires great patience and accuracy.

Secondly, the "wear Prada" style of management may discourage feedbacks from employees. Afraid to be reprimanded, many would not be willing to voice out his or her opinion on certain issues. With little or no feedbacks, the management of the company would not improve.

Thirdly, while demanding and treating employees badly, one may get immediate results. But they're short-lived. In the long run, there may be decrease employees’ satisfaction towards work, thereby increase the company's turnover rate. When turnover rate increases, more resources will be used for recruiting and training new employees. Ultimately, employees would have lower loyalty and sense of belonging to the company. This is because they would feel that they are not appreciated for the work they have done.

In conclusion, the “wear Prada” style of management should not be encouraged as it defeats the purpose of promoting work-life balance in workplace today. To achieve optimal and sustainable productivity, employees should be motivated, not forced to work harder.

Financial Literacy Talk in Schools

You can't imagine how I spent my whole of yesterday. I woke up early in the morning to prepare myself for the financial talk. I had put in lots of effort in liaising with the school as well as NIE to have the session. And given that NIE ppl would be coming down to oversee the session, I couldn't afford mess up anything. We have 5 members in our project group. And guess wat? 2 had mid-term tests on that day and another kanna HFMD. So our group literally left with only 2 man-power; we were required to handle 60 kids during the talk + conduct interviews with students, teachers and NIE ppl + Video-take the whole session. The day was not over for me yet. I had to rush down for my tuition lesson and only managed to got home at 9 plus. Then, I had to rush my MNO tut assign which is to be handled up this morning. Seriously, I dun even have time for lunch & dinner tat day.

However, I must say I enjoyed the session a lot. They are really adorable kids! One added me on facebook, one said that I look like pri sch student with genius brain and tats y I got into NUS, one said that I confirm have a boyfriend... wahaha.. The more funny thing is what they wrote on their goal setting worksheets, "Go Netherland (x6) = $36,000", "Buy SHINEE album", "Always buy the cheapest thing", "Use my pen till the last drop of ink"... =))

Today has been a tiring day for me too... perhaps I didn't really get enough sleep. Yet, my HR project group is scheduled to interview one of our prof HT in the afternoon. The expected 30 minutes interview turned out to be more than 1 hr. However, I feel that the session with prof HT rather insightful and inspiring as he generously shared with us his personal experiences in the working industries. Compared to those profs who just teach for the sake of salary, I believe students can really learnt more from those who are really motivated to nurture the young. =)

1st dress ever~

I had 2 parties crashed today. One was the Chijmes Single Party invited by Omy and the other one was si jie's 21st. I didn't realised that the latter was on sunday instead of saturday. In the end, I gave up my "single guys" and "$150 goodie bag" and went for si jie's 21st instead... wahaha.. Happy Birthday Si jie!!! The small door gift is so cute! And I finally get to wear the white dress I bought from Korea!!! =)

I was really busy recently although it was recess week. Got buried by projects througout the whole week, felt that I was even more busy this week than other school week. And I know my coming week were'nt be much better. 2 Interviews, 1 presentation talk in pri sch, 2 tutorials hw due.

I wasn't in a good mood after I got home tonight, mainly due to some issues I didn't wish to pursue further. Interaction with clever ppl gets so complicated sometimes, I rather make friends with someone more innocent. And I'm glad that many of my friends aren't the backstabbing-type. =)

It's been a yearly tradition for me to celebrate Mid-authum festival together with my primary school pals: Pei yi, Rui Ling & Xiao Xin. I had been looking forward to it since a month ago... haha... preparing candles and lantern, making myself free tonight despite my super busy schedule...I really enjoyed myself lol... It's amazing that our friendship lasts for 15 years!!! And I believe it will continue to last forever =)

Missing Korea~

It's a new semester and some of my fellow schoolmates are missing. 3 of them went to Seoul for exchange programme. My heart itches whenever I saw the photos they have uploaded on facebook! It's like "whoa, I've been here before", "How I wish I'm there"... making me wanting to fly over right away.

The July trip to Korea was really special to me. I felt more like being in a foreign country when I was in KL than in Korea. Reason being that I've actually "lived" in their world for more than 10 years, knowing their culture inside out, tried their food, spoke their language long before I first visited the country. So it's more of a "returning to hometown" kind of feeling. =)

The above picture was taken in Seoul Namsan Tower, and this place is an outdoor observatory area right on top of the hill. It is one of the favourite dating spots for Korean couples, even the Korean variety show "We got Married" Sinae and Alex's love story were shot there. The entire fence were filled with millions of "locks". Couples write their wishes on each of the 2 locks, then lock them onto the fence, and throw the key down the hill. With that, their love will be like the lock, last forever~ So sweet! And wats more, the benches are specially made such that the 2 sides of the benches bents towards each other to form a "V" shape, they are indeed the "couple seat". =)

Oh gosh, I miss the country so so so much!!! Gotta go back again some day! =)

Planning for the big day ; I'm turning 21 very soon!

I've just did a banner for my upcoming birthday party this afternoon. I've had a hard time finding something "retro" and also relate to the party venue, ktv. And yes! I've found it! It's not that the theme of the party is "retro", I jus think it looks cool for a banner. =)

I really love this title. It comes from the last slide of my MNO1001 lecturer's presentation. It totally defines the word "I", that what one does should not be influenced by others. =)

2 weeks has gone since the start of the new semester. Feels like I'm dragging my feet everyday to get out of my house. The lecture I look forward most is the MNO module (Mgt & Org) conducted by this American Prof, David Lehman. I bet no one would fall asleep in his lecture, ever! haha.. 1st lecture, he conducted an auction and gave away 10 bucks. 2nd lecture, he made us guess how much M&M chocolates are inside the huge container and gave it to those who guessed correctly. 3rd lecture, we played poker cards and the lucky one walks away with stackbucks voucher. =) And what's more, Felicia Chin is taking the same module as well.. lol.

What special stuff did I do during the 2 weeks? umm.. last last fri, went to watch Aaron Kwok's movie premier with jia tian. Last fri, went shopping with jia tian after lesson at Vivo, then joined my cousin + colleuges for company's retreat (@ Kim's Gary <3>

Yesterday was my last Korean lesson with my native korean tutor seung won. She'll be leaving to New York very soon to further her studies and will never come back. Although I haven't been really close with her, I had known her for around 1 year after all. She had been so nice and patient with me. So, I still feel quite sad when I know that another friend of mine is going to US. =(

She recommended me one of her friend Jae won to teach me. However, after several thoughts, I decided to pause Korean tuition till I finish my examinations this semester. Now that sch started, I feel that I'm always chasing after time... My tuition slots is now more than my school lesson slots!!! Haha, so I told ppl that I'm now a full time tutor and a part time student instead. =p It's hard to juggle so many things at once but I think I can pull through it. =)

A New Semester

It's the start of a new semester this week. I can't believe I'm Year 3 already!!! Very soon, I'll graduate and have to start finding a job. Everything gets a little too fast... I really feel like I've missed something somehow or another in my life. Perhaps I should start reducing my pace.

Last friday, I went for shopping with jia tian at Vivo. Ironically, that day was my best day throughout the whole 3 months summer vacation. I get to walk into every shop I want, try as many clothes I like (whether or not I can afford it...), eat my fav Kim Gary's and get to rant out my stress & displeasure that are accumulated over the past weeks. =) In the end I spent around 80 bucks on clothes and 20 bucks on food. =)

I went back to my doc on tues. OMG!!! I gained 3 kg during my 3 months holi!!! It must be the KL and Korea trip that caused me to lose control... =( Imagine all the suppers and heavy dinners everyday during the trips... Arghhh!!! Gotta lose them in 2 months time b4 my birthday! Dun wanna look ugly on my 21st birthday photos... =P

I haven't got time to blog recently as I was rushing seminar booklets for my boss... During this period, I got extremely stressed up and angry as I was given a really tight dateline and my boss only send me the essential information content 3 days ago despite many reminders. I've completed them yesterday (way before dateline).. why? coz I'm hardwirking and diligent, tat's y. =P

Besides the seminar work, I've been busy with teaching tuitions as well. Currently I have 7 students and more than 20 hours of lessons each week. And I do not intend to give up any of them even when sch starts next week. Somehow, I planned my classes to not clash with the tuition lessons... Hells know if I can really cope with it, same words again: 走一步算一步.

I desperately want to go shopping. Fortunately, jia tian is able to accompany for shopping on fri. =) Becoz of my busy tuition schedules, I can only manage to shop for few minutes recently.... Saw nice dresses in Metro, but only bought 1 in the end. After all, I seldom wear dresses.

Today is Chen's 24th birthday. Happy Birthday, dear! Hope you recieved the birthday email that I've sent and reply it soon. =) Miss u so so much!!!

Vincent's 21st Birthday

Yesterday I attended Vincent's 21st birthday party at Novena Square St. Games. The place was rather small but equipped well with all sorts of electronic games... Played the drum set so hard that my hands still feels the pain now. =P It was also a perfect chance for me to deliver my small gifts from Korea. And after that, we gals went JustAcia Dhoby Ghaut for dinner.

Everything was back to normal starting yesterday, I continued with my marathon tuition (3 tuitions in a row) on monday and more today. I haven't started missing Korea yet, I guess it's because I really stayed there for too long (nearly 2 weeks) le. Thinking back, when I woke up every morning, I was like "wth, why am I still in Korea?" I'm really glad that I'm back... I missed my pillow so so much! =P

Anneyong Haseyo Korea

I'm finally back!!! Well, for this 12 days trip, I spent $1900 in total ($1000 on air tix & accomo + $600 on food & travel + $300 on entertainment & gifts). Yes, with this amount of money, it would be more worth to go for a travel tour, where I get to stay in luxurious hotel and being served good food in high-class restaurant. However, it won't allow me to experience walking 10+km on the street of Seoul everyday, looking at the maps, finding directions on our own, asking the locals for help, talking to the taxi-drivers, bargaining with the stallholders, etc. Basically, we decide when to wake up, where to go, what to eat, we do watever we want. So I really do enjoy the experience. =)

But if you ask me how fun was the trip? Not really. It's not about the place but the group of ppl that I went along with - my cousin, my cousin's friend & her friend. I can't get along well with all 3 of them. Don't get me wrong, it's not that we argued over things and hated one another. =) It's just that the stuff they talked and laughed about was not "my kind" of topics. I don't discuss topics on ways of getting to sleeping transitions, past admirers, etc. I don't laugh over silly boring jokes. I don't sing aloud eng & chi songs on streets. I don't go crazy over cute notebooks and bookmarks. I don't rush through fashion street without entering a single shop. I don't sleep at 5am in the morn & wake up at 12 in the noon. So yeah, while the 3 were laughing all their way, I was sorta in my own world. Despite all this, I still do appreciate them for accompanying me for the 12 days. They r great, seriously. =)

1 more day to Korea. I've packed my luggage and all ready to set off. And I've wrote seung gi a letter and planned to give him Singapore Hainanese Chicken Rice as a present! I felt more confident in speaking to Koreans now. =) Recently, I found Seungi's twitter... haha.. I re-signed up a Twitter account and he's the only friend I "followed"... heheh...

I just came back celebrating Beatrice's birthday at Kim's Gary Hong Kong Restaurant with Yu wei, Si jie and Boon Siew. It has been several months since I last saw her and she looks prettier and skinnier now. =) I've know Beatrice through our JJC Interact Club, and it's such a special "缘分" that she became so close with our Regent Sec clique. She's very understanding and is always willing to lend a listening ear. She'll never get angry with our jokes and mistakes. I'm glad she's my friend. =)

Another trip to Kim's Gary restaurant next week with Jia tian... lol, we shall be watching Toy Story 3!!! Having gone to the Science Centre Pixar Exhibition, I guess I'll be able to appreciate the movie more... Wait for me, Buzz Lightyear! Woody the Cowboy! Barbie & Ken!!! =P

Busy Week~

I'm really busy this 2 weeks. Got to rush for 2-3 tuitions (consecutively!!!) each day... as a result I got quite a bad cough + Sore throat. Haix, no choice, I need money for my korea trip and to cover my expenses for the past weeks. It's kinna "lifeless" for me to teach small kids from 2pm - 9pm, going from one home to another without chance of eating and resting. But thinking about the money that I can earn per day keeps me going, wahaha.. Counting down: 11 days!!! What's left for me is to pack my luggage and change the currency. =)

On wed night, I saw a friend request on facebook. I accepted it coz I thought it was my friend. But right after I accepted the friend request, I got a message of this guy. I went to look at his profile and saw that he accepted many girls as friends (& all girls!!!)... Yucks, tat's so sickening!!! Removed this person from facebook immediately. Facebook should block these kind of ppl, really!

Itinerary Ready!!!

Another 17 days and I'll be setting off my dreamland - South Korea!!! I've always been hoping to visit it before my 21st birthday, and I guess my wish has finally come true! =)

Just in case you don't know about it, I watched my first korean drama "Authum in my Heart" when I was Primary 6. I still remember that time I had just finished my PSLE, and my favourite Chinese teacher (even till now, she's still my favourite!) showed us this drama in class. Almost all students were touched by the story and cried. Haha, it's a pity she only showed us the 1st 3 episode, and that is why I've bought this drama as my very first VCD. Ok, it sounds very "土", but yeah, that was 10 years ago mah.. lol. So basically, that started my journey to have watched more than 60++ korean dramas, variety shows, movies & even novels!

I spent the whole of friday to plan out the Itinerary for the 12 day trip... Skimmed through all the VisitKorea websites, forums, guidebooks (the 1 sent to me from the embassy and those I've borrowed from library), flipping on maps and plotting on subway station lines... Initially the 3 other girls wanted to have no Itinerary and to plan where to go the night before each day trip. However, after much thoughts, I have decided to come out one on my own (save time to meet up and discuss), so that at least we won't be "blur" or get lost, and to spend most of the day deciding on places and finding locations. I think this is the very least that I, as the eldest one in the group, can do to make sure we are safe and enjoy the whole trip. =)

I've found a baking blog written by a Singaporean Mother. She has shared many of her great recipes and good tips on how to bake more successfully. From which, I've tried her Chocochip Cookies and Mini Fruit Tarts Recipes. I especially enjoyed her small details about the interactions between her, her children and her husband. Her life is exactly what I am striving to own in the future... Caring Husband, 2 Cute little kids, Cook great dishes everyday and wait for them to get home... =) =) =)

I'm so free recently.. haha... Had been going out often for the past few days. On friday, I met up wif the usual gang (this time wif a new friend Kee Wei) at Dhoby Ghaut. We had dinner at JustAcia (again!!!), enjoying our free flow of ice-cream... yumm! =) Afterwards, we went to PlayNation for WII and Board games.

Sunday, I went to Wan Ching's birthday party at her house. Lol, she got herself a boyfriend!!! Wow! Hope that she will enjoy her Boston trip =) Joce, ai ting, si jie, chee hong and I went to Charmanye's house after that.. We watched tv while the others played mahjong. Her house is really nice! They got an interior designer to design the house layout! Haha, I would hire one to design mine when I got a house in the future, heh heh.. =)

Broke again...

I got cheated by my boss today. I got informed at 1am this morning that I need to meet him 10am at City Hall Mrt Station, and he came 45mins late (Another $100 penalty earned!!!). Then, we walked all the way to SMU to get the power point for my lappy. And guess wat? The meeting lasted for 30mins. We did our own things after that and very soon he leave for the next meeting... %&%*$@*##... =P
.

So I thought to myself, it would not be worthy for me to come all the way down here yet not to do some shopping. After all, it's GSS period! haha... I took the circle line to Plaza Sing and had lunch alone at JusAcia cafeteria. I spent quality time there reading my Korea Travel Guide and enjoying their free flow of drinks and ice-cream after having my Fried Salmon set... lol. I shopped around the mall, spending most of the time at Marks & Spencer trying nice clothes. But in the end, I didn't buy any clothes from there coz it's simply to ex le... =P But I did buy an outerwear, a pair of really really high heels, and some stuff from daiso (sushi vinegar!!!)

And opps, another round of shopping tmr... this time wif joce... and nightout wif the rest of the gang! =)

Holiday?

I was terribly sick for the past few days, got a high fever... Coupled by my house internet connection problem, I was unable to update anything in blogs and facebook. So I haven't been doing anything recently, haha... Slept more than 15 hours daily, moaning in pain for the remainding 9 hours... wahaha.. But I'm glad I've recovered already. =)

I realised I didn't really do much stuff after I got back from my KL trip. I did projects for my boss, went out with joce, wee chien, wen chong for Shrek Forever After movie, went out with the same gang plus Hong Ming and Ivy for Prince of Persia Movie and Bak Gukteh Supper. Last friday, Si jie and I went Yu Wei's house to help out on Jaz's birthday scrapebook. Got to enjoy delicious & healthy lunch cooked by Yu wei.. haha... yumm..

Got my result yesterday... umm, got improvement... but it improves my CAP by only 0.03 points, it's like wth... no difference lor... die die have to take up Korean elective next sem, aim for another A to pull up my CAP... =)

Last week, I was invited by OMY.sg to the PIXAR Exhibition tour at Science Centre. Previously, Jaslin had actually asked if I'm interested in going for it but we called it off due to the expensive entrance fee of $24. So when I got this invitation, I asked Jaslin to join me. =) When I was on my way to the science centre, my stupid shoes broke off, so I had to buy a new one. And that almost made me late for the exhibition. But yeah, we caught up fortunately. =)

I'm glad I did come for this exhibition. After all, Singapore is PIXAR's last exhibition station in Asia. That means I may never get another chance to watch it again if I miss this chance. Furthermore, as representatives of OMY bloggers, we were allowed to take as many videos and photos we want. Now, tats really a special priviledge! Haha.. =)

The Tour guide showed us 2 highlights of the exhibition. 1 of which is a huge model of many TOY STORY characters statues, all looked similar but with small differences in their movements. When the lights went dim, and the model starts to rotate faster and faster, it gave us an illusion that all these characters have turned alive! With the background music and action sounds, it seems really realistic. For the 2nd highlight, we were brought into a dark room to watch a movie clip. The clip consist of many of PIXAR's most successful movies such as Toy Story, CARS, UP, Finding Nemo, Monster INC, WALL E, etc... It brought us into each of their world, and gives us a deeper understanding of how the producers design and work on the backgrounds, characters and story plots. I was deeply amazed that the producers were so detailed with their work such that every pots and pans (in Ratatouille) and every single fishes (in Finding Nemo) had their specific file name and unique designs. Perhaps that is one reason why it can be so successful.

I've also learnt quite a lot of things.. haha.. Do you know PIXAR exist as early as 1979 and it once belongs to the Apple founder Steve Jobs? And it's suprising to see the rough sketches of characters for those award-winning animation movies. Some really seems like the drawings of a 3 year old... wahaha..

Well, overall it's a worthwhile trip for me (yeah, of course, it's free anyway!) But if you were to ask me pay 20plus bucks to look at a few original sketches, movie clips and clay doughs? Most probably not.

Baking Session~

Basically I had been so free recently that I spent 2 afternoons baking and cooking stuff! Haha, one of which was my favourite muffins that I've made them tons of times till my brothers are really sick of... And I've also made custard puffs for the 1st time! Haha, the appearance look really appetitising, but the bottom are burnt! I did followed strictly to the recipe but I guess my oven isn't as good as theirs... haha.. But overall, my family have tried them and they said it taste really good! (except that they dun eat the burnt part.. wahaha..) I've also made Grass Jelly and taro balls, which eventually my taro balls didn't turn out to be successful. I have added too much sweet potato powder I guess.

Having made so many stuff in 2 days, it's rather ironic that I haven't got chance to taste any of wat I've made! In fact, I have been surviving on my strawberry HL milk for 3 days le... (Breakfast: milk!, Lunch: milk!!, Dinner: milk!!!) Felt like I'm turning into a cow liao... wahaha.. Reason being, my orthodontist placed tight rubber bands in my teeth and my whole gum became swollen. He said that I have to change the bands every 5 hours and the whole process will last for 6 months... Siaox!!! You can't imagine the torture I have to go through every 5 hours when I changed the bands, it's like havent serious toothache! And that's why I can't even bite a single thing.. CRY~~ =( Didn't even get to try my custard puffs!

Really hope that it would get better before my korea trip. If not, I will really go crazy for not able to eat the appealing Korean Food there.

Bye Bye School, Hello Holiday =)

Yeah, finally get rid of the last paper yesterday! Felt that this sem's exam period is particularly long and draggy... perhaps that's becoz my cousin finished hers super early. Haha, but I'm really glad it's over and done!

Din really get to rest yet. Right after my last paper on fri, I met up wif jaz and yu wei at orchard. After lunch, we helped jaz to shop for her birthday dress and scrapbook stuff. Lol, the dress is really really nice, and the ribbon we found really matches the costume =) Umm, and then after I leave them at Plaza Sing, I gotta rush for tuition... Sianx, got home alreadi 7 plus...

Today is even worse. 2 tuitions in the morning, 1 from 9-10.30, the other from 11-12.30 (Can't afford to cancel them coz next week is the kids' exam period, and I won't be in S'pore..) Then, rushed back to Causeway, 2hr plus meeting wif "boss" on trip details & analysis work (the cafe's food sucks!!!), shopping for a OL skirt, and another tuition from 6-8. Rushed back to Causeway again, bought mother's day cake plus my bro's dinner.... reached home at 9, half-dead.

Tmr's another big day. Morning got to write out biz trip stuff which I gotta memorize them by monday, cry~~ Then, meeting my cousin and collegues for bonding session at k-box (yeah!!.. haha..) from 2-7... Gotta rush back home to celebrate mother's day.... yep yep, and biz trip from tues to fri.

The Vintage Tea Party

I got no idea why this gal chose such a difficult theme for her 21st birthday party, haha... I have no idea what vintage style looks like until she google the images for me.. Diaox, in the end I wore my new korean dress lar.. haha... Party was held at Grand Hyatt Hotel, love the cosy quiet atas place, the food was nice! Yum.. haha.. Oh, and all guests kinna forced by the birthday gal to pin some feather accessories to act "vintage".. haha..Umm, during the party, every guest were to play a game where we have to find out the name of other guests with unique descriptions as hints given on our paper. From that, I can see that she is good at observing her friends special characteristics and makes effort to remember something special about her friends. Amazed! haha... I could nv describe a friend well even though I may know the person for very long.. haha

Went wif my cousin to watch "Future Cops" starred by Andy Lau yesterday at Tiong Bahru GV. Umm, I don't really like films with too much robort scenes... especially this one with a lot of features "copied" from hollywood films. Batman-liked vehicle, transformer-liked robort outfit, Spiderman-liked and X-men-liked badies... plus lots of china-ascent Chinese... -_-''' But yeah, coz it's free, I dun mind watching... LOL..

Decided to head to Korea (finally!) around early July... my cousin is really good at persuading ppl... haha... dun become marketing manager le lar, go be lawyer!

Broke ~

I went ibanking juz now. Guess wat, I spent around 2000 plus last month! And wat's more important is that I can't remember wat exactly I bought.. umm.. the usual dental fee, korean tuition fee, transport fee... umm.. oh, my bro's exam fee, my 2 bros books & stationary fee, birthday presents, lunch & dinners, blog shopping, real shopping... opps.. I really overspent too much last month... got to tighten up this month.

Jus came back from watching "Clash of the Titans" at causeway point wif my bro, joce & ai ting. Well, the movie is up to expectations but there are no suprises either. The whole greek gods thingy is so similar to the recent Percy Jackson movie and that male lead, Sam Worthington, keeps reminding me of his role of Jake in Avartar. And the most annoying thing in the whole near 2 hrs movie was that a little young gal sitting behind me kept crying and making loud noises. She even threw wet tissues to me and knocked my head! Then her parents let her wonder about the whole theatre... &*(%^#$ Inconsiderate parents! They shouldn't even have brought such a yound child in! Many audience couldn't fully enjoy the movie with this little attention seeker crying and walking around the aisle! Arghh!!!

I'm watching another movie called "Future Cops" starring Andy Lau with my cousin next tuesday... Haha, and that shall be my last movie before the exams.

Kind Act

I would have to say that I am not a kind person. I don't donate to those "street performers" at Mrt stations, old ppl selling tissues, students selling flags & even the disabled begging for money. Well, from what I know, there are only 2 licsened tissue sellers in Singapore, and there has always been new reports about China "begger" organisation that comes Singapore to beg for a living. Together with those dissapointing news about N*F and R*nCi fraud of funds, who knows where your $ would eventually end up? To the needy or as part someone's golden toliet bowl & biz class airtix? The last donation I've ever made was most prob to the Red Cross Society for the Sichuan Earthquake few yrs ago.

Well, but who says kindness must come from donation? A simple act of kindness like giving up seats to elderly will do. Yesterday, I gave up a seat to one old lady. She never said anything and jus sat. I don't expect any word of appreciation from her either. I've used to be upset about these ppl, eg: giving up seats to pregnant lady but still give you blackface, old lady cooling the seats before sitting, give seat to young children but the mother sat instead, etc. And the following incident sorta change my mindset:

I was working in Fortis Bank located at Raffles Place during my post A-level holiday. So every morning, I got to take Mrt from Woodlands to Raffles Place which was a really really long journey. And my job required me to wear covered heels and so standing in the train throughout the whole journey was a torture to me.

Then that day, I was fortunate to find a seat soon after I got on the train and was happily reading "my paper". Not long after, I realised there was a old lady standing right infront of me. That set me into thinking: should I give up the seat to her? Or should I just wait for others to give her? Then, I kept debating with myself for around 5-10 mins when I finally decided to gave up the seat. So, I sorta acted that I have just raised my head from reading the newspaper and "noticed" her, then offered her the seat.

She thanked me profusely, when the person sitting beside her leave the seat, she even quickly "chop" the seat and asked me to sit down. This made me even more ashamed of myself selfishness. The fact that I took 5-10 mins to decide whether or not to offer seat to her, she treated me like I was her great saviour. When she leave the train, she thanked me once again.. arghh..feel really really bad at that moment... I don't deserve the thank at all!!!

Jus to side track a bit, while i was standing that time, I scanned the row where I've just sat. All of those seated were office ladies, some listening to MP3, some reading newspaper and some doing nothing~~ I mean like wth, I'm one of them. I was among these selfish young ladies...

So moral of the story? I have always hope that those whom I have helped can appreciate my kindness by at least thanking me. But it turns out that I would feel ashamed of myself when someone actually thank me. 做善事不求回报，this is one of the most common chinese idioms... Now, I think that doing a kind act not because you are kind enough to do others a favour but it is something that everyone ought to do.

k, this may sound crazy... I took only less than 2 hrs last night to make a decision of heading to KL for a 4 days trip. And most prob I may have to head straight to the airport right after I finish my last final exam paper. The reason I went there is to help out my cousin's sch mate with his seminar, and I barely knew him (< 1 mth). Also, I only met him for the 1st time jus now, & we can still talk non-stop for 3 full hrs...

You may wonder "HUH??? I tot this gal can never go to Malaysia becoz her mum would nv allow her to go there de!" True, it's rather ironic of me to be living in woodlands, so damn near to Malaysia, and yet have nv go Malaysia even once before in her life. Next, you may also wonder "What the hell is she going there for?" Yeah, haha, I wondered that to myself too... so here the story goes.

This new friend of mine, Nai de, is the founder of a investment-management company & also a well-known young investor in S'pore. During the recent CNY, I met up wif my cousin and I expressed to her my interest in investment. She then gave me his email add and suggested that I could ask advice from him. Before I could email any of my personal enquiries, I was given a 10,000 words report project on REITs & so I thought of asking him some doubts that my grp mates' were having. Kindly enough, he gave a well-rounded reply to our questions. From the replies, you can see sincerity in it. =)

And then last week, my cousin came asking whether I could accompany Nai de to KL to help out wif his seminar. My 1st reaction was the same, "No!" Well, I really wish that I could help him in anything, no matter what, I did owe him a favour. But I knew my mum would surely object to it. So yeah, I rejected.

Then last night, my cousin came asking again. She said Nai de urgently needed someone to help out and that she could not go due to the her mum's concern which was similar to my mum's. She said her mum would only allow her to go if I tag along. And viola, this turned out to be the reason y my mum allowed me to go in the end. Ha.

Nai de called last night to briefly tell me about his company and the trip. Yep, all expenses (acommodation + food) covered by the company, and he gave the option of either hourly pay or coverage of shopping expenses (my cousin chose the latter, lol). Ha, frankly, I dun really need any pay for this lar. After all, it is a good expereince for me: I get to go Malaysia for the 1st time, Get to "attend" his financial talk & learn some investment tips for free & most importantly, I have made a new friend. =)

And I jus came back from meeting him, spent 3 hrs at starbucks. Apart from knowing more abt his company details & the KL trip, I got much insightful advices on investment. I'm glad he's not those kind of person that you don't have much to talk abt, and instead, I had a good time chatting with him & listening to his past investment experiences & stuff. =)

But right now, I still got to focus on my on-hand projects & of course the upcoming final exams. And opps, haha, talking about that, I realised I haven't done anything much about them. Haix... And hope you enjoy this true "adventurous" story of mine! =P

S'pore Entertainment Award Ceremony

Another long sat night for me. I happen to get a pair of free ticket to the S'pore E-award ceremony held at The Float@Marina Bay from the Omy administration under SPH. Who's the 1st "most 空闲" ppl that I thought of? Crazy Joce! But too bad she got church lar... miss all the fun.. The 2nd person in mind?? Our dear Jia Tian... haha... Thanks so much for accompanying me and bearing to see me go crazy over the korean band SHINEE... haha...

I reached Marina Sq at around 3 plus today. While waiting for jia tian, I went shopping (AGAIN!!)... and spent $50++ on a shorts & shawl... =( ... broke again... Then, when it's 5, We went Xin Wang Hong Kong restaurant for my fav Yuan Yang right after collecting the free tix.. haha.. Kept gossiping abt the Jack Neo's recent scandal haha...

The beginning part of the show was boring, main reason was that many of those performances were by unpopular or new singers... Can't believe tat some even sang out of tune... gosh, I can definitely sing better than them lor! =P It only got more interesting when the stars started to enter subsequently, walking the red carpet. Who received the loudest scream? Xiao Gui & Shinee I guess... Coz they seldom come to singapore and there are tons of their die-hard fans present there.. haha..

Well, I didn't really get a good seat. Haha, can't expect much from free stuff~~ But I wouldn't have come if I had to pay 60 bucks-- like the shinee fans, jus to be in the front rows (standing somemore!) I came mainly for the sake of Shinee, Chen hao and Eason Chan.. haha.. But I'm also glad that I could hear live performance by singers like JJ Lin, Liang Wen Ying and Yoga Lin... They sang really well =) ... Then I got kinna crazy during the near end of the ceremony when SHINEE came out to perform.... Squeezed through ppl, Jumping from seats to seats, standing on chairs just to take a close pic.. haha... And when Eason finally came out.... phone no batt.. $%&$#*...

But nvm lar, enjoyed myself quite a lot... It's free anyway.. WAHAHA... so, I wasted another saturday... test on monday, haven't touch yet... haix...

Journey to the EAST

Clever me. Knowing that I would be going out wif these bunch of my crazy frenz on sat night, I purposely took a 2hrs nap in the afternoon. Well, met up wif joce, wee chien & hong ming at jp, and went to Marina Barrage. As it was my first time there, I was suprised that the place is really awesome and nice! Took some photos and talked rubbish before the rest of the gang joined us. Then, the "picnic" started. Nice ham, cheese and smoked salmon sandwiches~ yumm..

When it's 10 plus and it was time to leave for the next spot, the gang spent another 1 hr plus arguing and debating where to go next. got timbre, movie, k-box... -_-''' in the end? dunno y somehow it became the ghost story telling session in which wee chien told us his "closest encounter.." blah blah blah... Then hong ming suggested Henderson Wave and everyone agreed.

It was also my 1st time at Henderson Wave. Thought it's something really huge and stuff but actually no big deal- it's just a bridge. But the breeze up there is really cooling, it's so relaxing lying there. =) And then the multi-lingual conversation came about. It began with wee chien and chee hong talking cantonese about some censored stuff, then come hokkien, then come malay, then korean & jap.... blah.. While along the raillings, shao long and hong ming having "guys talk".. haha.. and ai ting was alsleep for half of the time spent there. lol.

Not thinking about going home, these bunch of crazy ppl went to Old Changi Hospital to see see. Then drove to Changi street there to see see the transexual ppl & their sexy boobs.... then drove to CCK mac to stare at each other wif sleepy eyes... crazy ppl...
